Healthy Meal Program
At Kihew Asiniy Education Centre we have the opportunity to prepare and present the students with a Breakfast, Lunch and Snack Program, at no cost to the students. A healthy meal is the first step to holistic wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
Cultural Teachings
At KAEC it is important to present opportunities to learn Cree cultural ways and teachings. We are lucky enough to offer the following cultural activities to our students:
- School Feasts
- School Sweats
- Elder Visits
- Smudging Circle
- Language Revitalization
- Land-based Learning
- Morning Prayer, Song and Drum
Monthly Award Incentives
Every month the students are awarded in the following categories:
- Golden Feather – 80% or Higher in Academic Courses
- Ahkameyimo – Most Improved
- Eaglechild – Highest Grade Point Average (1 per class unless tied)
- Determination – Overcome all odds to complete course
- Miyo Wapan – Perfect Attendance
- Morning Song Award – Student you see present at morning song consistently
